About Fluid Flow

Fluid Flow is my weblog that is about to turn 6. I am not much of a weblog writer, but I have managed to keep this going for a while now. Last year I moved the weblog from its Radio Userland underpinnings to WordPress. The primary reason for this was to move the weblog to my server and learn a bit of php and mySQL. I am still working on making it a bit more attractive.

About Me:

I am a geologist, web-consultant, neighborhood activist, photographer, editor, and all-around good guy. I have lived in the bay area for over 40 years, making me one of the oldest non-native Californians in the state.

I don’t like people (well, they are ok in small doses, but they tend to foul things up when concentrated). As a result, I generally run with smaller crowds and away from big ones. You can find me at minor league baseball stadiums. I don’t go to malls (not counting the 5 minutes in REI last year). Rush hour scares me. You get the idea.

Apparently, I like cats or maybe they just like me. We tend to agree on things (raw tuna is good, fish oil injected down your throat is bad). I am currently living with six of them. I have a similar relationship with dogs and most other critters (ignoring, of course, most internal and external parasites and squirrels).

You can subscribe to Fluid Flow’s RSS feed here. The subscription link is also at the bottom of each page were no one ever looks.
